In 1992 Cardamon Leisure Services introduced Short Mat Bowls to the village and supplied the necessary equipment, on loan, for the club to start, and in 1993 the new club purchased a mat with the help of a generous grant from the Torpoint Lions.

By 1994 the club was holding regular monthly games, and in 1995 a second mat was added and a loyal team of twenty players began many successful matches against local teams.

The club continues to thrive, and meets regularly on Tuesday evenings, although numbers have varied when original supporters retired or moved away, and other alternative activities were introduced.

The Bowls club celebrate members’ birthdays monthly and hold an regular Christmas dinner.

New members are very welcome, with bowls available on loan.
